Design and Technology is a foundation subject within the National Curriculum. Pupils are taught in groups of 22 or less, which as well as being a safety requirement, also allows a high level of teacher/pupil contact and promotes pupil progress. In both Key Stage 2 and 3, the subject is taught in modern and well equipped specialist rooms. All pupils are given opportunities to work individually, in pairs or as part of a small group to design and make a wide range of exciting outcomes. Pupil favourites include: Healthy Pizza, miniature Christmas Cake, Designer Soup, Hinged Lid Box, Motorised Robot, Ball Bearing game and a Quilted and Appliqued Cushion cover.
Design and Technology at Marston Vale presents every individual pupil with opportunity for participation, enjoyment, challenge and personal success.
